Depressed and broke, mechanic Bob Dusza is looking to move to a better neighborhood and a more secure future. So when his ophthalmologist offers him a way to make thousands of dollars by scamming the Bridgeport jai alai fronton, he grabs it. Unfortunately the owner, Greenwich billionaire Malcolm Rummel, unearths the plot.
Then Dusza ends up dead. Detective Pierre Appollon is trying to solve the case, but he can't figure out how Dusza died, let alone who killed him. But as he gets close, he becomes enmeshed in the corrupt underside of Connecticut politics - where money talks and the wealthy walk.

Compelling from start to finish...The Lords of Greenwich is a must read novel. Gerry Demeusy, Crime Reporter, The Hartford Courant
A great novel. Bentivegna really understands the political system. Senator Wynn Smith, Connecticut
Leave it to a work of fiction to tell it like it really is in The Land of Steady Habits. Dr. Bentivegna takes particular delight in skewering hypocrits, especially among the powerful. Doug Maine, Editor, Rocky Hill Life, Connecticut
As a big fan of Nelson DeMille and James Patterson, I feel that The Lords of Greenwich was "right there" in terms of detail, intricacy of plot and enjoyment. I found myself turning the pages well into the night to see how the plot unfolded. A superb novel. Elwin Schwartz MD, Middletown, Connecticut
Combining the medical and forensic savvy of Patrician Cornwell and the withering social commentary of Tom Wolfe, Bentivegna creates a memorable cast of characters and a villain that everyone will love to hate. An impressive debut novel. Sam Seltzer MD, Florence, South Carolina
