For those readers who called me a quack when I wrote that President Biden was suffering from early Alzheimer’s and/or Parkinson’s Disease, you may want to reconsider your opinion.
While the consensus is that Biden’s debate performance was hideous, given his condition, I thought he did better than expected.
But why did Biden’s handlers ever agree to debate Trump? Did their internal polling show Trump to be way ahead? Did Democratic insiders insist on this debate so that Biden could be replaced if he did poorly? Or maybe Biden’s handlers are not the sharpest tools in the shed.
I suspect the later. After all, it is the Biden team who gave us rampant inflation, an illegal immigrant invasion, crime, the Afghanistan fiasco and the diplomatic incompetence that resulted in wars in Ukraine and Gaza.
What else could explain that Biden’s handlers agreed to a split screen format that enabled millions to view Biden’s rigged face, drooping mouth and glazed eyes? We doctors call this “the nursing home look.”

The reaction of the previously toady media was informative. The New York Times, Washington Post and Los Angeles Times immediately called for Biden to step down. But how could they abandon Biden so quickly? They understand that replacing Biden without his consent is impossible without an internecine floor fight at the Convention that increases the chance of a Trump victory. Even with Biden’s consent, choosing a candidate is problematic because it would entail passing over the unpopular Kamala Harris.
The reason is the liberal media had to save face because they have been lying. They had told their readers that Biden’s cognitive decline was a figment of the imagination of the tinfoil hat crowd who watch Fox News.
The White House doctor, Dr. Kevin O’Connor, in his most recent 2024 report stated “President Biden is a healthy, active, robust 81-year-old male, who remains fit to successfully execute the duties of the Presidency…” The report further states” An extremely detailed neurological exam was again reassuring…”
Perhaps Dr. O’Connor is hoping to receive the Noble Prize for fiction. Basic cognitive tests were not performed to check the President’s memory and judgement. There is no mention of a CAT scan or MRI of his head which could show the pathological changes characteristic of dementia.
Even a non-physician, Justice Department Attorney Robert Hur, could discern what Dr. O’Connor claims he could not. In refusing to charge Biden for illegally keeping classified documents after he was Vice President, he wrote “at trial, Mr. Biden would likely present himself to a jury…as a sympathetic, well-meaning elderly man with a poor memory.”
At the time of this writing, Biden has no intention of dropping out. The game plan is to conduct a town hall and have a one-on-one interview with a prominent journalist. But they also plan to proceed with the second debate!
How is this possible? There is no debate format that does not force Biden to think on his feet. Trump won’t let that happen. And there is no medical cure for Alzheimer’s.
Our ruling class is pulling out all the stops. They were caught off guard by Trump’s victory in 2016 and propped up Biden in 2020 to defeat Bernie Sanders and Trump.
But Trump has learned how to fight back. The Supreme Court just ruled that Trump has immunity for official acts and this delays one trial until after the election. A similar situation exists with the case against him in Georgia, as the lead prosecutor Fanni Willis had more interest in using taxpayer money to subsidize her trysts, then she had in going after Trump.
Thus, stopping Trump is now in the hands of Judge Juan Merchan who has the power to imprison Trump for the rest of his life. Will he do so? Can he do so and keep Trump in prison pending appeal? Will Trump win if he is prison? Would he be allowed to serve as President if he does win?
Our ruling class refuses to accept that the Constitution gives the people the right to govern themselves. And the people do not want globalization that exports working class jobs. They do not want unwinnable wars. They do not want government bailouts of the Wall Street Welfare State. And they want to decide for themselves how to handle abortion, gun control, affirmative action and climate change. Not the bureaucrats and the judges.
Thus to thwart the will of the people, our ruling class has hung its hat on a demented man. What a mess.
