Trump’s Victory Came Down to Issues

Democrats Have Yet to Grasp This

November 20, 2024

Most Democrats and their acolytes in the media believe Harris lost due to deficiencies in her campaign and the racism and sexism of American electorate. Let’s look at these myths individually:

Myth 1: Harris was a poor candidate. This is simply not true. Given the hand she was dealt, she ran an excellent campaign. Although a San Francisco liberal with a voting record to the left of Bernie Sanders, she quickly abdicated her previous positions and morphed into a moderate Republican knowing that the fawning Press would be shaking Pom Poms while they covered up her blatant lies.

Harris was polished, poised and looked presidential. She clobbered President Trump in their debate. She worked like a dog behind the scenes, contacting big money donors and raising $1,000,000,000 in a few weeks along with another $600,000,000 in soft money. She outspent President Trump three to one.

She attracted celebrity endorsements from huge stars such as Taylor Swift, Bruce Springsteen and Oprah Winfrey. The speeches at her rallies were uplifting to her audience and with a shift of just a few points in the swing states, she would have won.

Myth 2: President Biden should have left the race earlier. After the disastrous debate with President Trump, even the mendacious media and the lying Democrats could no longer hide Biden’s decreased cognitive function. Immediately, they called for Biden to withdraw. For several weeks, he refused to do so.

Nancy Pelosi theorized that had Biden been a good boy and did what he was told immediately, the Democratic Convention would have had time to pick the strongest candidate.

But this strategy would have been very risky. Conventions with multiple opponents can quickly turn into vicious fights that split the party irretrievably. Imagine a three-way Convention fight between the vicious Kamala Harris, the ruthless Hillary Clinton and the entitled Gavin Newsom. Machete salesmen would be coining money.

The calamitous Democratic Convention in 1968 caused Hubert Humphrey to lose a nail-biter to Richard Nixon. Reagan’s challenge of Ford in 1976, Ted Kennedy’s challenge of Carter in 1980 and Pat Buchanan’s challenge to George H. W. Bush in 1992 all contributed to the losses of these incumbent Presidents. A united party behind an weak candidate is better than a fractured party trying to coalesce behind a stronger candidate.

Myth 3: The voters are racist and sexist. It is not unusual to see some liberal pundit on CNN or MSNBC saying that white American would not accept a Black woman president. But there is a problem with this analysis. President Obama won two elections easily. Did America become racist in only twelve years?

Furthermore, Trump received a higher percentage of the Black vote than any Republican in recent memory. Up to 16% from 9% in 2020 with a whopping 23% of Black men. Hispanics also showed a huge shift towards Trump, with 56% of Hispanic males voting for Trump and 40% of Hispanic women.

But it is the liberal pundits who are the real racists. They believe that minorities are stupid because they voted for their own interests. They believe that minorities should have been loyal to a Black women whose administration caused rampant inflation, increased crime and dumped illegal immigrants in their neighborhoods while keeping them out of the affluent white suburbs.

But one question will never be answered. What would have happened if Biden never debated President Trump? Why did Biden’s handlers allow this? They obviously knew he was demented. They were with him all the time. Maybe they were afraid that if Biden and Trump debated in mid-October, the exposure of his dementia would have propelled Trump in the White House. Why not do a test debate before Biden has the nomination?

But this makes little sense too. Biden’s handlers could have simply refused to debate President Trump once both candidates were officially nominated. They could have said “We will not give a forum to a convicted felon and sexual predator who tried to overthrow our democracy.”

The obsequious media would have echoed this across the land while Biden hid in the basement just like in 2020. Trump may not have gathered enough momentum to defeat the well-oiled Democratic machine. Then Biden would simply resign after reelection due to “newly diagnosed Parkinson’s Disease” and Kamala Harris would have assumed the presidency.

We will never know. But one thing is for sure. Even in Biden’s demented state, he is undoubtably gloating behind the scenes and screaming at Pelosi, George Clooney and Obama “I would have won you idiots! I beat him before, and I would have beaten him again!”

No wonder he looked so happy wearing that MAGA hat.
