The Biden-Enabling Clattering Class Will Have No Credibility Attacking Trump for Pardoning the January 6 Rioters and Choosing Outsiders to Run Cabinet Departments
December 6, 2024
President Biden, after promising not to do so, pardoned his son, Hunter, for convictions of illegal gun possession and tax evasion. But that’s not all. Hunter Biden is also pardoned for all crimes he committed from 2014 to the present, even if he has not been charged yet.
The United States is one of the few countries where the President has unbridled power to pardon, just like a medieval king. Most countries require legislative, ministerial or judicial approval also. Furthermore, American presidents can issue pardons for possible criminal behavior in which no charges have been filed.
This was the case when President Nixon resigned in 1974. No charges were filed against Nixon, but President Ford’s pardon prevented this from ever happening.
By absolving his son of all crimes from 2014, President Biden is preventing Hunter from every being prosecuted for being the bag man of the Biden Crime Family, in which he collected millions of dollars in bribes from Ukraine, Russia and China.
But Hunter Biden did not keep the money for himself. He distributed it to at least nine Biden family members including the President’s granddaughter and probably to the President himself, who was referred to as “The Big Guy” when these bribes were being negotiated. Expect other Biden family members to be pardoned too.
Furthermore, it appears Biden is contemplating pardoning Trump’s detractors. For example, Kash Patel, Trump’s nominee to head the FBI, wrote a persuasive article that Liz Chaney, in her role of the House Select Committee to investigate Trump’s behavior on January 6, deliberately excluded exculpatory evidence that Trump had tried unsuccessfully to have the National Guard deployed to prevent violence.
The political problem is that multiple Democrats and liberal media hacks stated publicly that they believed Biden’s statements that he would not pardon his son. His Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre blathered this lie repeatedly.
As stated by lawyer Jonathan Turley:
“With this pardon, Joe Biden shredded any residue of veracity and credibility as President. For years, he was repeatedly asked if he met any of his son’s clients. He lied and denied it. He was repeatedly asked if was aware of his son’s foreign dealings. He lied and denied it. He was asked if he would pardon his son. He lied and denied it.”
The narrative was created that the noble Biden believed in rule of law while President Trump – who was portrayed as an incarnation of Hitler and Mussolini combined – would never stoop to such outrageous behavior.
This narrative is now caput. How can the Democrats scream bloody murder if President Trump pardons multiple participants in the January 6 riots? How can they honestly stop the nominations of the of Kash Patel to FBI Director and of Pam Bondi to Attorney General when there is considerable evidence the Biden family took bribes while present directors of these agencies looked the other way? The only standards liberals have are double standards.
As Victor Davis Hanson tersely stated:
“The sanctimonious “rule of law” and “expert class” arguments of the discredited Left used to attack Kash Patel, Tulsi Gabbard, and RFK, Jr. are now rendered a joke.”
The irony of all this is that if the Democrats and the liberal media had not legally manipulated ballot harvesting in 2020 to place the grifter and sock puppet Joe Biden in the White House, this would all be over. Trump would be completing his second term. The wars in Ukraine and Israel would have probably not occurred. And given the historic ebb and flow of American politics, a Democrat such as Gavin Newsom or Josh Shapiro would be the President-Elect.
Now an emboldened President Trump with a Republican-controlled House, Senate and Supreme Court is about to enter the White House.
How did this happen? Maybe the Democrats should listen to the words of President Lincoln and learn:
“You can fool some of the people all of the time, and all of the people some of the time, but you can not fool all of the people all of the time.”
